The Government has stated that:

'Given the improved position, the balance of risk is now overwhelmingly in favour of children returing to school.  For the vast majority of children, the benefits of being back in school far outweigh the very low risk from coronavirus (COVID-19).'

As a school, we have a robust COVID-19 Risk Assessment in place that is updated regularly and are working with parents and carers, the Department for Education and the Local Authority, to minimise the risk to the school community.  We have also put into place a Strategic Recovery Strategy  and a Teaching and Learning Recovery Strategy  to ensure that routines, expectations, standards, relationships and values are quickly re-established.  At the heart of these plans, getting children 'back-on-track' in both an academic and emotional sense is the absolute priority.
